Show an Orphan There's Sombody Who Cares

Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth

At the beginning of the video, you'll hear the voice of Bushra, the founder of Hand In Hand Yemen. May God rest her soul and grant her the highest ranks of Jannah. Bushra dedicated her life to helping those in need. One day, as she was driving away from one of her missions, she saw two children flagging her down. They were orphans: the older one, about 12 years old, Abdeh, and a younger one, about 7 years old, Mohamed. Abdeh told her that his mother had no food and their landlord was threatening to evict them. He then turned his attention to his younger friend Mohamed and urged Bushra to help Mohamed's family because they also had no food. Bushra and her husband took the children to a nearby restaurant to eat. In the video, you can hear Bushra's gentle voice comforting and consoling the children, assuring them of help with food, rent, and even Eid clothes. After eating at the restaurant, the children led Bushra to their mothers, where she communicated with the mothers and arranged for much-needed aid. When Bushra asked Mohamed what he wanted, the humble, innocent child was shy and just smiled, with a spark of hope in his eyes. What was truly touching was Abdeh's concern not only for himself but also for his younger friend Mohamed. It is heartwarming to see how he kept his arm around him the whole time, acting as a protective older brother. Bushra's compassion touched many lives, ensuring children like Mohamed had the basic necessities of life: food, water, and shelter. Your support can continue her legacy and make a significant difference in the lives of these innocent, beautiful children.

Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together.

Supporting A Precious Soul

Sponsoring an orphan is a truly impactful decision, filled with compassion and profound significance. In Islam, orphans hold a special place, as highlighted by the example of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him), who himself experienced the trials of being an orphan. He lost his father before his birth and his mother at a tender age, understanding deeply the loneliness and vulnerability that come with such a loss. This personal experience shaped the Prophet’s (PBUH) strong advocacy for the care of orphans, urging us to provide them with comfort, protection, and justice.

Why It Matters?

You become Guardian of the vulnerable

The Qur’an repeatedly emphasizes the importance of safeguarding orphans, warning against mistreatment and exploitation. Without the security of their parents, orphans often face heightened risks of injustice, neglect, and abuse. Allah’s guidance in the Qur’an reminds us of our collective responsibility to care for these vulnerable children:

These verses underscore that caring for an orphan is not just an act of charity; it is a profound moral and spiritual duty. By sponsoring an orphan, you provide more than material support—you offer them love, security, and hope.

The Qur’an’s Call to Protect Orphans

Surah An-Nisa (4:10): "Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming into their bellies fire. And they will be burned in a Blaze.”

Surah Ad-Duha (93:9): "So as for the orphan, do not oppress him."

A Lasting Charity (Sadaqah Jariyah)

Sponsoring an orphan is an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) that continues to bring blessings in this world and in the Hereafter. Every kind act and every bit of support you provide creates a ripple effect, benefiting the orphan and extending to you even after you are gone. It is a legacy of generosity that helps shape a brighter future for these children and secures unending rewards from Allah.

Nurturing A Childs Potential

The early years of a child’s life are crucial in building confidence and fostering a love for learning. By sponsoring an orphan, you become an essential part of their growth and development. Your support provides them with the vital necessities — food, shelter, education, and emotional care — that allow them to thrive.

With a strong foundation, these children can flourish into imaginative and capable individuals, ready to contribute positively to their communities. Every milestone they reach, every dream they pursue, and every contribution they make will be a testament to your generosity.

Your support will not only change their world but will also bring you countless rewards in this life and the Hereafter.
